SuperHuman Podcast Studio, a visionary name in the podcasting space, partnered with DECIBEL to achieve a complete acoustic transformation. The goal was to create an environment where sound could be captured with clarity and depth, while also elevating the space’s visual identity. The result is a studio where every word, beat, and moment resonates with precision—merging functionality with creativity.

Challenge

The client’s main challenge was twofold: to eliminate dull, uninspiring acoustics and to introduce a visually engaging atmosphere that would reflect the energy and personality of the podcast. The studio needed not only acoustic precision but also a bold 3D design aesthetic.

Scope of Work

• Assessment of existing acoustic conditions

• Acoustic design planning and material selection

• Installation of textile acoustic panels on two walls

• Installation of WAVO perforated panels on a third wall

• Customisation with WAVO and ACER wooden perforated panels to absorb mid-range frequencies

• Use of textile-covered acoustic panels in various shapes to enhance the visual depth and create a three-dimensional effect

Solution

DECIBEL implemented a tailored combination of acoustic products that balanced performance and design. Textile panels were used for broadband sound absorption, while WAVO and ACER perforated wood panels were selected to address mid-frequency issues. Their patterned surfaces also contributed to the visual rhythm of the space, achieving the desired 3D aesthetic without compromising acoustic efficiency.

Result

The SuperHuman studio underwent a remarkable acoustic overhaul. Reverberation was tamed, clarity was ensured, and the space was transformed into a recording environment that supports professional-grade sound. The addition of 3D panel shapes and varied textures also elevated the visual identity of the studio—making it as engaging to look at as it is to record in.
