Challenge

The newly constructed premises of Kokiche Kindergarten Botevgrad suffered from poor acoustics, characterised by echo and high background noise levels. This environment posed a challenge to effective teaching and learning. Additionally, the kindergarten's hall has many windows which limits the panels's placement on the walls.

Solution

DECIBEL conducted on-site measurements to assess the acoustic conditions and designed a solution tailored to Kokiche Kindergarten's needs. Acoustic textile panels were strategically installed on the ceiling to absorb sound in the medium and low-frequency ranges, complementing the interior aesthetics seamlessly.

DECIBEL installed 112 Echo Wall - Fabric acoustic panels on the ceiling of the kindergarten's room, strategically compensating for the many windows on the walls. These panels, featuring a non-flammable technical polyurethane core and fire resistance class B1, significantly enhanced acoustic comfort for both children and staff.

Result

The installation of acoustic panels in one hall has already yielded positive results, fostering a calm and happy environment for the children. Plans are underway to extend the acoustic treatment to additional study rooms and the kindergarten's gym, ensuring a conducive learning environment throughout the facility.
