Project Overview

DECIBEL successfully completed its first acoustic treatment project in Iceland, expanding the company’s presence across Europe. The task involved improving the acoustic comfort of a meeting room in a modern office space.

The client wanted to reduce echo and improve speech clarity, while also adding a decorative feature to the interior. DECIBEL achieved this by installing BEELIVE™ and ROOGLE™ acoustic panels in selected colours and shapes.

Combining Acoustic Performance with Stylish Interior Design

Meeting rooms require good sound absorption to support clear communication during conversations and presentations. In this case, the client also wanted to create a visual accent on the wall using the panels themselves.

DECIBEL proposed a solution that would meet both functional and design goals, using acoustic panels with fabric finishes that offer colour options and custom arrangements.

Challenge

The key challenge was to deliver a solution that not only reduced reverberation but also contributed to the aesthetic of the room. The client had specific preferences for colour and layout, and the panels needed to blend well with the existing interior design.

Solution

DECIBEL installed a combination of BEELIVE™ and ROOGLE™ acoustic panels, each made with a core of technical polyurethane and finished with acoustic textile. The panels are designed to absorb sound efficiently and are available in 40 mm thickness and 22 different colours.

For this project, the client selected a mix of colours and shapes to create a stylish wall composition. The installation not only improved the room’s acoustic environment but also added a decorative element that matched the modern office space.

Result

The acoustic panels successfully reduced echo and improved speech clarity during meetings. At the same time, the finished layout provided a clean and vibrant design feature in the room.
